Velma Wilkinson, 75, of Crawfordsville and formerly of Waynetown died at 8 p.m. Sunday in Culver Union Hospital. A farmer and homemaker, she had worked at Wilson Shirt Factory and retired in 1977.  She had lived in the Waynetown area since 1939 and was a member of Alamo Chapter 496 Order of Eastern Star where she served as worthy matron twice and as Martha and prompter for 10 years. She was a 1937 graduate of Attica High School.

She was born Jan 28, 1917 in Fountain County to James and Addie Jesse Frodge.  On June 18, 1939 she married DOnald E. Wilkinson at Indianapolis.  He died March 23, 1967.

Surviving are two sisters, Delza Fewry of Attica and Maxine Watts of Detroit, Mich and one niece, Mary Ruth Ingram of Lafayette. Her parents, husband, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.  Services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral home at Waynetown with Rev. Karl Kobel officiating.  Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted at 8.  Memorial may be made to the Cancer Society of First Lutheran Church at Attica.  - kbz
